About

I am a 26 year old aspiring business owner. What does that mean? Let me tell you!

After High School, I went on to a local community college majoring in web design. Like many right out of high school, I had little focus for college. I simply did not care about my work. To no surprise to anyone, I left after two quarters.

I began working for my sister's cleaning company soon after. I figured I would work and save money and then when I had really decided want I wanted to do with my life I would go back to school for it. Did that work? Not really. I kept working and saving money but had no direction.

A few years down the road I landed a job at a payday loan company (please don't shoot me). I took it because it was a full time job and I needed the increase in pay. I had just took out a loan for a car and needed more cash. I started out as a customer service rep for this company. Basically, that meant that I would give loans to customers and then collect on those customers when they would inevitably fail to pay. Somehow, after around six months, my boss offered me a position as the branch manager for a new store opening an hour away. Happy to take the pay increase, I accepted. I lasted in the position of branch manager for about seven months until I couldn't take the job anymore and was ready for school.

I went back to my local college to study in accounting. I loved it and excelled in it. I had found something I loved and enjoyed my classes. It's been a little over a year since I graduated from there and I still have this "itch" for something. I know what it is, I need to own my own business.

Have I made all the right choices? Who knows. All I know is that I want to dedicate some of my time to having my own business. How much time can I devote each week? That's something that I am finding out. I hope to share my experiences with you and hope you will enjoy the ride.
